Madan Kanala
Founder, CEO and Product Architect
Madan is a successful engineer-turned-entrepreneur with extensive international experience in Internet of Things (IoT), sensors, and wired/wireless network infrastructure markets having led products that generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue at Fortune 500’s (Broadcom, HP). He successfully conceptualised and implemented designs from silicon level up to system level and ensured customer-ready solutions. Before Starting Stratosfy, Madan had a 15 year career as a system architect and technology leader.
After moving from the UK to Canada in 2016, Madan was drawn to the many issues that businesses with a deskless workforce face and are still poorly addressed by the IT industry (that has focused on creating office solutions).
He realized a world of opportunities to create solutions to make deskless workforce management easier while also making mobile and essential workers more engaged by including them in the organizational systems of the companies they work for.
Madan holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) degree from the National University of Singapore (Singapore) and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science degree from JNTU, Hyderabad (India).
Muthu Raj
VP - Business Development and Customer Success
Muthu is a results-driven executive with 20 years of experience in deskless workforce based industries. Among other experiences, he held a management position at Tim Hortons (managing a workforce of over 300 people and an annual budget of over CAD 20M) and had vast experience as a commercial cleaning franchise owner.
With such relevant experiences, Muthu understands these industries at the ground level which gives him the unique ability to take Stratosfy’s deskless workforce technology into many markets.
Muthu holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras.
Griffin LeBlanc
Sales Manager
Before joining Stratosfy, Griffin held different finance and sales positions at RBC, Premiere Mortgage Centre, and the Government of Nova Scotia.
His passion for entrepreneurship/sales and the desire to join a startup company with products that help businesses gain visibility over their operations and that go beyond apps were decisive factors when he chose to join Stratosfy.
Griffin is an avid golfer, swimmer, and hockey player. With a love of classic cars, Griffin hopes to one day own a 1974 Porsche 911 RSR.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com.), Finance from Dalhousie University.
Venugopala Chilukala
Director - Customer solutions and Quality assurance
Venu is a customer-focused engineering executive with 15 years of hands-on experience in QA and deployment of large-scale enterprise applications. Venu drove several technology initiatives at major canadian financial institutions such as CIBC and RBC.
Venu's expertise is in converting business requirements into customer-ready solutions with emphasis on quality and performance of offered solutions - he supports pre-sales activity to make sure customers have all their needs covered and also post-sales activities as needed for customer success.
At Stratosfy, Venu is integral to ensuring the company converts MVPs (minimum viable product) into large-scale customer-ready products through a thorough QA exercise and a detailed design of customer-ready solutions.
Venu holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from JNTU, India.
Hugo da Silva
Product Marketing Manager
Hugo is a hands-on product management professional with 20 years of experience in R&D, software development,project management and product management. Hugo's primary expertise is to convert concepts/ideas into revenue-generating products. He has the first-hand experience of building a startup from a mere concept to multi-customer revenue-generating venture.
Before joining Stratosfy, Hugo was the product owner at 1VALET for next-generation building management platform in property management space. Prior to that, he was based in brazil and managed R&D teams and led software development activities at Microsoft Innovation Centre and In Forma software.
At Stratosfy, Hugo assists is responsible for ensuring product-market fit and directly assisting both the product team and the sales team to achieve and keep consistent product roadmaps.
Among other things Hugo deals with strategic level decisions and day to day business operations activities ranging from coordinating with marketing agencies to deliver brochures or website enhancements to defining and implementing sales strategies and managing CRM software.
Hugo holds a masters degree in software engineering from CESAR School, Brazil and also holds a masters degree in business administration from Universidade Estácio de Sá, Brazil.
Miles Hammond
Advisor - Industrial Design
Miles is a pioneer in Industrial Design with 20+ years of experience in designing world-class products. Over the years he has won over 40 different design awards and has eight patents to his name.
At Stratosfy, Miles leads all industrial design aspects of the company's devices and sensors. Under his guidance, Stratosfy’s in-house team applies the best practices and methods for industrial design activities ensuring our products have cutting-edge designs.
Miles designs and sells his own range of stand up paddle boards, Hammond Boards, which are frequently to be seen on Ottawa’s lakes and rivers. He has also worked alongside Julian Fillion for many years designing groundbreaking kite-boarding equipment.
Dr. Stephen W. Davies
Technical Advisor - Sensor Architecture & Design
Dr. Stephen Davies is a visionary in signal processing, bioengineering, sonar and digital systems. At the Defence Research Establishment Atlantic (now DRDC Atlantic), he was Group Leader, Acoustic Signal Processing and led the XDAAP and CASD airborne sonar projects, as well as contributing to the AN/SQR-501 towed array sonar, the UYS-505 sonobuoy processor, the AN/SQS-510 active sonar and low frequency active sonar projects. At Bell Labs, he conducted research into a wireless data system and played a major role in the launch of the resultant venture Flarion, later acquired by Qualcomm and forming an important part of LTE technology. Long active in the IEEE, in elected (Administrative Committee, IEEE EMBS) and appointed (Steering Committee IEEE Transactions on Nanobioscience) capacities, Dr. Davies is a Editorial Advisor to BMC Systems Biology and is an active reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing.
At Stratosfy, Dr. Davies leads the company's proprietary sensor architecture and design. Dr. Davies works with the R & D team to convert the company's proprietary sensors into purpose-built devices for different markets.
Dr. Davies received an MBA from Dalhousie University and a PhD from the University of Toronto
Andrew Goodwin
HW Architecture & Design
Andrew is a hands-on technologist with 35+ years of experience in designing and launching world-class products in the area of hardware system architecture, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) and digital signal processors.
At Stratosfy, Andrew leads all hardware design aspects of the company's devices and sensors. Under his guidance, Stratosfy’s in-house team applies the best practices and methods for hardware design activities ensuring our products have cutting-edge designs.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of New Brunswick.
